Tara Morrey is a PhD researcher in the School of Psychology at the University of Birmingham and a Lecturer in Counselling at Newman University. She is currently carrying out PhD research using an ethnographic approach, exploring how therapists and clients experience the therapeutic setting and therapeutic space in psychotherapy. Methods include observations, photographs and Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis of interviews with therapists and clients in two therapy locations in the West Midlands.
She previously worked as an English Co-ordinator in two 9-13 yrs Middle schools in Worcestershire, and more recently has been a Teaching Assistant in qualitative methodologies at the University of Birmingham, and currently lectures at Newman University.
